Ekaterine is available for hire as a private violin instructor to Mozambiquans, and to expatriate families living in Mozambique or throughout Southern Africa.
She speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Ekaterine has more than a decade of experience teaching music to children in Cuba, Uruguay, and Mozambique, including four years as professor of violin and music history at the Escuela Provincial de Arte Eduardo Abela Villarrea (the music school of Artemisa Province, Cuba). There, she directed the ‘Cuerdas del Aire’ string orchestra and graduated many students who were recognized for excellence by Cuba’s Centro Nacional de Escuelas de Arte (CNEART). She was commended for her teaching methods, such as physical exercises (biomúsica), in addition to teaching piano and in reading music scores.
For nine months in 2015-16, Ekaterine taught violin, piano and music theory by invitation of the Escuela Integral de Música Eleusis, in Montevideo, Uruguay. Since 2017, she has taught in Mozambique, beginning as professor of music at Musiarte Conservatorio; and, since 2019, as a music teacher at the Maputo International School. She is also a professor with the Center for Rehabilitation of Handicapped Children (CERCI), and performs music therapy with children who have problems with learning, speaking, and motor skills.

Violin virtuoso Ekaterine Triana James has performed at many private weddings and special events, including private functions for foreign ambassadors in Mozambique and in Cuba, where she was also privileged to play for Fidel Castro and Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez, and at a private dinner for First Vice-President Ricardo Alarcón.
